Contact, Enquiries & Bookings

Q: Can I book an appointment through your website?
A: Yes. Please use the enquiry form on our contact page. Enter your preferred date and time, then we will get back to you to confirm availability.

Q: What are your hours of business?
A: As below.

Q: I have a complaint. How will you deal with it?
A: Contact Lesley or Ken at the salon. We always try to ensure clients are happy with the service before leaving the salon so we can alleviate any problems in the first instance.

Q: I am absolutely delighted. How can I contact the stylist to thank them personally?
A: Just send an email and we will print it out and give it to the stylist.

Q: What is the cost of a consultation?
A: A consultation is included in the cost of the service.

Q: Are you open on bank holidays?
A: No

Q: What is the cost and expected completion time of a HEAD VQ?
A: With focus and hard work the HEAD VQ can be completed in as little as 12 months. However the average timescale is around 18 months with a maximum of 2 years.

Q: Can I send you my CV?

Q: Do you have any vacancies for a make up artist?
A: Call the salon for updates on vacancies.

Q: What is the basic salary for a qualified hairdresser?
A: At ECH the basic salary, depending on skill is £10k + commission, giving a gross salary of £17-18k.

Cuts

Q: How much is a standard haircut?
A: Ladies £42, Gents £26.

Q: Can you fit me in for a haircut this weekend?
A: Contact the salon to check availability.

Q: I have very fine and lifeless hair which has no style at all. Can you help?
A: We would love to! Call the salon to arrange an appointment which includes a consultation with your stylist who can advise you on the most appropriate style and products to enhance your look.

Q: Which cut would work best for a round face with straight hair?
A: Call the salon to arrange an appointment which includes a consultation with your stylist who can advise you on the most appropriate style and products to enhance your look.

Q: What's the difference between 'Cut & Style' and 'Total Restyle'?
A: A Cut & Style is a tidy up of an existing style. A Total Restyle is a complete new look.

Q: Do you have a section dedicated for women-only hair cuts?
A: No.

Colour

Q: I have long straight fine blonde hair, but would like some dark tones underneath. Can you help?
A: We would love to! Call the salon to arrange an appointment which includes a consultation with your stylist who can advise you on the most suitable colours for your skin tone.

Q: I've been told my hair is in bad condition and can't be coloured. Should I ask for a second opinion?
A: Yes come and see us! We can offer advice on both colouring and products to help your hair maintain a healthy condition.

Q: I am considering having my hair bleached. What type of bleach do you use and would you advise a consultation prior to booking the service?
A: We use a Wella product called Blondor. A consultation is not necessary as it is included as part of the service.

Q: I have naturally dark hair which has been coloured with a little red. I now want to highlight it and have been told that it would be a problem. What can I do?
A: Come in and see us! We specialise in colour correction.

Q: Are you interested in hair models for colour?
A: Models are contacted directly by trainees. If you would like to leave your details, please contact us with your name and contact telephone number and a trainee will be in touch when required.

Q: What is the best way to treat grey hair?
A: We have a beautiful selection of intense base shades that can help to cover grey hair whilst still looking natural.

Q: I would like to have just my roots in front coloured. Do you offer anything less than a 1/2 foils colour and what would you charge?
A; We can offer some different types of fashion colouring, but these would be priced on consultation depending on the extent of the service.

Extensions

Q: How long does the hair extension process take?
A: The application process can take up to 5 hours for a full head.

Q: How long do hair extensions last?
A: Extensions should be removed after a 6 month period.

Q: How much do hair extensions cost? Do you have a price list?
A: The consultation costs £40, which is redeemable against the full service if you decide to go ahead with the hair extensions. A half head of extensions starts from £600 and a full head starts from £900. Prices are dependent on each individual's requirements, please contact us to arrange a consultation.

Q: Is there a certain length that hair needs to be for extensions?
A: Hair should be at least shoulder length in order to achieve a natural blend with the extensions.

Q: Do you use human hair extensions?
A: Yes, we only use 100% human hair.

Q: Do you do long blonde extensions, similiar to Paris Hilton?
A: Yes, there is a range of colours and lengths which can be cut and styled like natural hair.

Q: I already have hair extensions of the bonded variety. Do you offer services to maintain them?
A: We are happy to continue the maintenance of your extensions, provided they are Racoon extensions. We would also need to take the current condition of them into consideration. Please call us for more information.  

Q: Will extensions damage my actual hair, and be ruined when I take them out?
A: No, there is no damage to the natural hair provided they are well maintained.

Q: My hair is quite thin and often brittle. Are hair extensions a safe option for me?
A: We would need to see your hair to establish whether or not it would be suitable.

Q: I am currently undergoing chemotherapy. How long would I have to wait to have extensions done, and would my hair have to be a certain length?
A: Ideally your hair should be shoulder length. We would have to see your hair to establish whether or not it would be suitable.

Straightening

Q: Do you offer straightening treatments which will take the wave and frizz out of my hair?

Q: How long does the hair straightening process take?
A: The whole process can take up to 2 or 3 hours, depending on the length of your hair.

Q: How long does hair straightening last?
A: Hair straightening lasts for up to 12 weeks.

Q: I have afro-caribbean hair. Would your straightening solution work on my hair?

Q: I am a man with short hair and very tight curls. How much would it cost to have my hair chemically straightened permanently?
A: Gents straightening starts from £55.

Q: I am looking to perm my hair. What styles of perm are there to choose from?
A: Perms are very modern now with a vast range of styles that look completely natural. Your stylist will carry out a full consultation to establish your suitability and discuss the various options available to you.

Q: I have scarring from acne. What treatments would you recommend?
A: After a consultation, we would recommend a personalised facial and homecare regime.

Q: Do you have any 'before and after' pictures of the MicroDermabrasion treatment?
A: Yes. Please see the DiamondTome MicroDermabrasion section on our skincare page.

Q: Is the MicroDermabrasion treatment safe for someone with very sensitive skin?
A: Yes. Each treatment is customised to your skin type so we can simply use a very light pressure around sensitive areas.

Q: I have enlarged pores. What treatments would you recommend?
A: A combination of facials and homecare will offer the best results for any skin condition. A consultation with one of our therapists will establish to appropriate treatment and products for your skin type.

Q: Is there a money back guarantee if I have an allergic reaction to one of your products?
A: Yes - although it is very rare!

A: At present, no. Sorry.

Q: Do you offer gel nails?
A: Sorry, no.

Q: What are the differences between the express, luxury and deluxe manicures?
A: All 3 options include soaking the nails, pushing back the cuticles, filing and shaping the nails and applying polish. In addition the Luxury manicure includes heated mitts with oil and massage and the Deluxe manicure includes a glycolic peel on the hands.

Q: Could I book a deluxe manicure, tomorrow?
A: Yes. Call the salon and we can check availability.

Q: I am a student, can I get a discount?
A: Yes. Student discounts are available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (ID Required) and is 20% off all hair services only.

Q: Do you offer vouchers?
A: Yes. We can create a voucher to suit your requirements for a specific treatment, or for a fixed value. Please contact us for more information, or see our vouchers page.

Q: Do you offer hair trials for wedding hair?
A: Yes, contact us for an appointment. We'll take photographs of your hair trial and email it to you.

Q: What wedding packages do you offer? How does the pricing work?
A: We offer tailor-made packages to suit your needs. Prices depend on package.

Q: I am getting married and would like a stylist to come to my house prior to the event. Is this possible?
A: Sorry, no. We only offer salon based treatments which we feel are a far more relaxing experience for your big day.
