Ellen Conlin Hair & Beauty achieved full recognition from the Scottish Qualifications Authority for the Hair Education And Development (HEAD) Vocational Qualification, Customised Training Award – the first Hairdressing business in Scotland to do so!
The HEAD VQ consists of 11 Mandatory Units – 6 Hair and 5 Education/Business Units and are completed via our HEAD Training secure website. Each candidate has their own unique user name and password to gain access to their course folder. The candidates can access their folders from home as can the SQA 's External Verifiers - this ultimately speeds up the whole process and completely cuts out the huge amount of paperwork usually associated with this qualification.
Candidates are constantly assessed by our A1 qualified Assessors and with a bit of hard work and sound application, candidates can work their way through the course in just over a year to the position of Stylist.
Youth is the key to our business, but obtaining quality, hard working youngsters can be difficult. We are looking for youngsters (male or female), who want a full-time career in the hair industry. You must be a good communicator, be fashion conscious, be well turned out and want to be the best!
Like any new job, whether qualified or not, you start at the bottom of the ladder, but the lessons you learn from there are invaluable. You will be put through our SQA Accredited HEAD VQ training programme, internally in the salon, to ultimately become a fully qualified hairdresser. There are no age limitations here, if you work hard and have an aptitude for the business, then its up to you! As a trained hairdresser you will achieve success in over 11 training units at ECH, and not only in hairdressing.
No need to go to College anymore when you can join ECH as an Apprentice Hairdresser, get paid a wage and have a job at the end of your training!
